Winter Park, one of Florida's oldest cities, is located just a few miles north of downtown Orlando, Florida and in both Orange County and Seminole County. Winter Park possesses old-world charm with its beautiful moss-draped oaks, stately cypress trees, picturesque lakes and many scenic parks. It was founded as a resort destination for wealthy New England industrialists before the turn of the 20th century. What comes to mind when I think of Winter Park is its abundance of art & culture plus the shopping experience it has to offer. Winter Park is host to year round special events and music & arts festival - the renowned Bach Festival, Winter Park Concours d'Elegance and the nationally ranked Sidewalk Art Festival. Winter Park draws thousands of visitors each year for these events. Rollins College, a Liberal Arts College located in Winter Park, is the oldest institutional of higher education in Florida. The college is home to the Cornell Fine Arts Museum plus the renowned Bach Festival Choir. To name just two areas of shopping Winter Park offers for you - the beautiful open air mall Winter Park Village which is a retail and entertainment center located on US 17-92, and Shopping on Park Avenue which consists of 10 blocks of gorgeous oak tree lined streets featuring upscale retailers to one-of-a-kind boutiques plus we must not forget the dining experience waiting for you to enjoy.
Winter Park real estate offers something for everyone. It is here that you will find beautiful old estates and single family homes in older communities - Comstock Park, Shadow Hill, Palmer Park, Killarney Point, Pelican Bay, Waterbridge and College Park to name just a few. New communities consisting of single family homes and million dollar estates like the gorgeous community of Windsong where you will enjoy first-class amenities plus access to the chain of lakes. Now, Baldwin Park is a unique community offering not only single family homes but townhouses and condos too. For the golfers out there we must not forget the golf communities of Winter Park Pines, Dubsdread Heights and Golfside to name some. Whether you are looking for lake front homes, luxury homes, executive estates, golf frontage homes, town homes or condos you will find it in the Winter Park FL real estate. Winter Park real estate is highly sought after not only because of the city's old-world charm plus all it has to offer in the way of arts & culture and shopping but also because of its year after year highly rated Seminole County School District.
